You can apply for this account if you:

  • Are aged 18 or over
  • Are a UK resident

  • Have a UK mobile phone number

  • Have a valid email address

  • Have a UK bank account in your name and registered at your address – this will be your Nominated Account. This is the only bank account that you can use to send money in and out of your JN Bank UK account.

  • Interest rate – 4.45% gross/AER fixed; AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if paid and compounded once each year. Gross interest is the interest rate paid without the deduction of income tax.

  • A guaranteed fixed rate on your savings that will not change for the duration of the term

  • You will not need to have access to your funds for the duration of the term

  • Open your account with £100 and save up to £500,000

  • Interest is calculated daily, paid annually and/or at maturity into your Fixed Term Savings Account. Interest can only be withdrawn when the account matures.

  • You’ll need to tell us your UK bank account sort code and account number, and your tax identification number (TIN) if you pay tax in a country other than the UK – so have them to hand!
  • Before submitting your application, you’ll need to download and accept the important information, this includes the account summary box, our terms and conditions, and an FSCS information sheet
  • We will tell you if your application is accepted, referred or declined at the end of the application
  • If your application is referred we will contact you as soon as possible with an update on what to do next
  • If your application is accepted you’ll receive a Welcome Email with your account details so you can send money to your account straight away

Eligibility

  • You must be aged 18 or over and be a UK resident to open a JN Bank savings account.
  • You must have a bank account in the UK.

Account opening and management

  • You can open and manage this account online.
  • The account must be opened in sole name only.
  • Send money from and to your UK Nominated Bank Account.
  • You must open this account with at least £100. This is the minimum balance for this account.
  • You must add at least the minimum balance to your account within 14 days of submitting your application.
  • Maximum balance is £500,000.
  • You can only make a maximum of 11 deposits of up to £500,000 from your Nominated Account.
  • View your balance and send messages to us using our secure Internet Banking Portal.
  • You will not be able to make any withdrawals from this account until the fixed rate period ends.
  • We will notify you regarding maturity at least 22 calendar days prior to your maturity date.
  • You must inform us of your decision to withdraw or reinvest your funds on or before the maturity date.
  • If you do not provide us with an instruction on or before the maturity date, we will open an easy access savings account and transfer your funds to this account. Your funds will earn interest at the same rate as our JN Bank Easy Access Savings Account until instructions are provided.
  • You will not be able to close or switch your JN Bank Fixed Term Savings Account before its maturity date.
  • We will generally communicate with you through email and secure message through our Internet Banking Portal. It is important to keep these details up to date.
  • Please check the Personal Savings Allowance as you may need to pay tax on the interest you receive. Please contact HMRC if you need more information.
  • An account with JN Bank in the UK does not give you any membership rights with the JN Group.
